Halloween

Here are the few pictures of our Halloween. Avery no longer sits still long enough for a picture and while I was trying to get her to hold still my camera was dying....ah the drama of a camera! Paisley was of course a princess, she was the little mermaid and Avery was a lady bug, I decided she had to be some kind of bug since we call her "buggins" most of the time:) We went to my moms for our traditional chili dinner then came back to our house where we went trick or treating with Tyler's side of the fam. That was fun for both kids at first, every time Avery got a piece of candy in her bucket she would say mmm mmm. Then the girls realized how cold it was when we were on the other side of the neighborhood and decided to just cry until they were home and warm. Overall it was a fun day.

Happy Birthday Avery!!!

I can't believe it but Avery is 1 years old! Her birthday was Saturday the 24th. Avery is such a sweet and spunky little girl! I have noticed her transition from baby to toddler in just the last few days. She is so much fun! Avery knows what buttons to push to make her big sis angry, which is funny to watch:) She has taken a few steps, but has not taken the plunge to just walk already! She gets so proud of herself when she does take those steps from the table to me, or whoever she is walking from. Avery is 100% her daddy's girl, in her look and in favorites. If Tyler is in the room you will not see her with anyone else. Tyler absolutely loves this too! Avery knew everyone was there for her birthday and she was soaking all of the attention in, she is not shy, like some would be in the spotlight. She loved opening her presents and eating(playing in) her cake!

Things Avery is doing at age 1:
*Points to things and tries to name them
*Points to what she wants
*Stands on her own
*Throws good tantrums
*Screams louder than any baby I know:)
*Mimics Paisley's dancing and singing
*Plays patty cake
*Can go up and down stairs

Avery's Words:
-pup pup(puppy)
-mama and dada
-baba(also means binki)
-ah dah(with one hand in the air, means all done!)
-mimics the dog barking

Avery's stats:
18 lbs(10%tile)
29inches long(65%tile)
17.8inches head(55%tile)

Precious moments

Tonight putting Paisley to bed was something I just had to write down so I can remember these moments when she is a teenager and has me pulling my hair out:) I think we take for granted how much kids listen and learn from us, though sometimes when we talk to them they may be focusing on something else. Now I can't take all the credit(nursery) but I must say I had a little tear in my eye.

After saying our prayers:

Paisley: Wow, that prayer was really long, we shouldn't say that long of prayers.
Me: But Heavenly Father loves it when we talk to him . And he and Jesus love you!
Paisley: Ya cause jesus died so that we can live.
Me: Yes he did(tear)
Paisley: He also died for rudolf, but I don't want him to die cause he would be sad
Me: Oh OK(don't really know why rudolf got into the mix...maybe cause she has started watching Christmas movies already!)

Anyways, this little girl has me so amazed a lot of the time, she has such a strong sweet spirit that I know has helped me in a lot of cases, she is a little sweetie and I love her!

Summer wrap up

Summer has come and gone so fast! This summer was fun, we swam at least once a week. Paisley absolutely loves the pool- she is a little fish. She also started dance this summer with her cousin Paige, she continues to dance and couldn't be more excited to go and dance every week. We also got a puppy this summer, her name is zoey, although she isn't much of a little puppy anymore, she has grown so big! Paisley likes her a lot, depending on the day:) We went boating and camping- camping with a crawler wasn't too much fun, but we managed and Paisley enjoyed every minute of playing in the dirt! I forgot my camera when we went but Paisley is so brave and loved riding on the tube, and as for Avery, she absolutely hated her life jacket! Summer is gone but we are ready for the change, one of the nice things about living in Utah!

What is the fascination?

What is it with kids and putting things up their nose? I will never understand that. Today while Paisley was "taking a nap" She decided to try something....She came to me in the office and said that something was in her nose, automatically I picture something wedged in her nostril. I look and nothing is there. Then I notice she sounds a little nasally, so I panic thinking what in the world is in there?! In the mean time I was on the phone with my mom who told me to just call the doctor, then she says to tell Paisley to blow, so she does and out popped the rhinestone that was on her barrette. I hope this isn't a phase of putting things up her nose, I hope it is out of her system. We will see, stay tuned for next week on what's up Paisley's nose:) After all is said and done, me and my mom got a pretty good laugh out of it!

Buggins is 9 months old!

Wow, in just three more months I am going to have a 1 year old! Avery is the happiest little baby around, she is so much fun. Every stage I get to with her I think I would not mind if she could stay this way forever. Buggins is a little nick name we have been calling her since she was just a couple of months old, Tyler told me the other day he thinks Paisley thinks it is her name because that is what we call her most of the time. She is getting so big, she has been crawling for over a month now, she does this army crawl thing, it's cute but I know she can crawl on her hands and knees she just does the army crawl much faster, so that is what she sticks with. She has 4 teeth, 2 top and 2 bottom, she is getting 2 more teeth right now and is a little cranky with teething, but not bad:) She can pull her self up to stand and this picture is what I have been finding when I go in to get her out of bed, is her little smiling face peeking over the edge of her crib. She has a cheesy grin that she shows us all the time. She LOVES table food and HATES baby food, but what 9 month old doesn't? She absolutely hates her car seat, and is a joy to drive with...we have to plan longer car trips around nap time so she sleeps or she would seriously scream the entire ride. We are just waiting for that 1 year 20 lb mark so she can sit forward like everyone else. She weighs 16 lbs which is the 9% for babies her age, and is 28.5 in long which is in the 83% for babies her age...tall and skinny still. She loves to watch kids run around and play and tries to jump out of my arms to join them. She knows the word "no" and will shake her head when someone says it. She absolutely loves water, she screams to get in the tub whenever Pais is in. She and Paisley have been taking their baths together now and they both could stay in for hours if I would let them. Lucky for us my mom has a swimming pool we go to quite often so my fishies can swim:)
We are so lucky to have such a healthy happy baby, and don't know what we would do without our little buggins, we love you so much ave!

My cute little girlies

So we finally got their pictures done! It only took us 8 months. Avery did not want to smile at first, but after the lady got out a stuffed bear, she decided it was OK. The only problem is when Avery smiles, she moves her entire body in excitement, so it was hard to get a picture of her without her hands moving in front of her. The entire experience was exhausting but well worth it, and I think I got some cute pictures out of it:)

Avery's new look!

Ave's got her ear's pierced with her cousin Brooklyn today! She was very brave and didn't mind at all, until they pierced the earring in, then she screamed and screamed. Lucky for her she got a sucker, her first sucker ever and she was a huge mess, but she deserved it after all the trauma. She looks adorable.

This is the best shot of her earring as I could get with her actually in the pic too, I didn't want to just take a pic of her ear, so look closely:)

Look who turned 3!!!

My baby is 3 years old today and I can hardly believe it! We celebrated her birthday on Friday so that Tyler would be here for it since he had to work out of town this week. We had a cowgirl party. Paisley is a huge horse fan, she loves going over to Thanksgiving Point and riding the ponies. She loves to run around the house wearing a hat saying "I'm a cowgirl, yee haw" Pais is 100% girl for sure, she is very emotional and dramatic but we love her no matter what! She is a very smart little girl and we can't get a thing past her.

Some things about Paisley are:
*Her favorite color is of course Pink!
*Her favorite animal is a horse and a dog
*Her favorite thing to eat is chicken nuggets
*Her favorite song is you are my sunshine
*Her favorite thing to do is swim and ride bikes
*Her favorite words are "what the heck!"
*Her favorite toy is her babies

Happy Birthday Pais, we love you so very much!!

Avery Baby is 6 Months

It seems like I just posted her 4 month! Time flies and I have decided that I wouldn't mind if it stood still for a few years right where we are now. Avery is at that perfect age....She is content playing alone for a while, she is sleeping!!! She only wakes up once a night, and is finally on a schedule. She has the cutest little giggle I have ever heard. She just lights up my life, I love her so very much! Not much has changed with her growth the past 2 months though....sadly the little bean stalk has only gained 10 ounces, so now she weighs in at a not so whopping 13 lbs 10 oz. She should be doubled her birth weight which should be 16 lbs. She just keeps growing tall though. She has added another inch to her height. She is in the 9% for her weight and the 90% for height at 27 inches. She still just adores Pais, her eyes light up and she squeals trying to get her attention in the mornings. She has 1 little tooth that has popped up, all the drooling and biting things like crazy was in fact teething, I wasn't sure if she was or not, she has not been that fussy. She likes baby food, but is still not so sure about the veggies, she loves the fruit though. I bought a food grinder and am going to try out some of my own to see if she likes it better than the store bought. All in all she is just a little ray of sunshine:)

Easter

Hope everyone had a good easter! Paisley loved it all, she went easter egg hunting and to open her plastic easter eggs she would tap them like she was cracking them, and then open them to get the candy out. She got some new barbies and last night she wanted to watch a movie so I turned one on for her and went in to check on her to find her barbies on their couch watching the movie with her. She is a funny little girl:)

Bath time and conversations with a 2 year old

Avery LOVES bath time. I have started giving her a bath in the regular tub but for some reason decided to give her a bath in her baby tub the other day, not remembering how she waves and kicks her arms and legs a million times a second in the big tub. She pretty much splashed ALL the water out of her little tub all over me and the floor and would not hold still as you can see from the pictures.

Now for Paisley.....ah what can I say that would best describe her?! She is just a strong personality. With Tyler out of town for work most the week she is the only conversation I get during the day......

Every Day-
Me: Paisley you are so cute!
Paisley: No Mom your the cutest
Me: No you are
Paisley: Ok we are both cute
*******************************************
Driving in the car the other day-
Paisley: UGH
Me: What's wrong?
Paisley: The sun is in my eyes! Go away sun, now is NOT the time
*******************************************
Going to meet my parents for dinner-
Paisley: Mom, I really love the papa with white hair
*******************************************
Tyler singing Paisley you are my sunshine before bed-
Paisley: Daddy am I your sunshine like in the song?
Tyler: Yes(trying to hold back some tears:)
*******************************************
And this one I just have to document before I forget.......
After Avery was born, and her umbilical cord fell out Paisley asked-
Mom where did Avery's cornbelly go?

Ha Ha, she just makes me laugh

Avery is 4 months

Time is flying! Avery went in for her 4 month check-up last week. The doctor said she is healthy, a little on the thin side, but doing great....Avery is 12 lbs. which is in the 20% for babies her age. Her height is 26 inches and is in the 97% Her head is in the 30% So pretty much she is tall and skinny, and I am already finding clothes hard to fit her, all the 3-6 month clothes fit her height but not around her skinny little waist. She is sure to pass her big sis up in the next year if she keeps growing tall! The doctor told me that 4 month olds are his favorite critter around, but I have to disagree. She absolutely wont let us out of her site for very long!
Some of the things Avery is doing(and not doing).....

-She is very opinionated with her screaming voice
-Hates to lie down, whenever she is lying on her back she lifts her head up to look around(it looks like she is doing crunches)
-Loves to watch Paisley jump and play around
-Screams whenever I leave the room
-Giggles at us, and is ticklish
-Has rolled over a few times, but like I said doesn't like to lay down
-Does NOT sleep through the night(longest time block is 7 hrs in the night)
-Can hold toys for a few minutes
-Drools like crazy!
-Always has her hands in her mouth

It is so amazing how different each child is. I was expecting Avery to act and be just like Paisley was when she was a baby, but I was way wrong. It is so fun to watch Avery grow and develop, and to look at the little personality differences.
